Congratulations, you’ve done it, you’ve created an incredible act, you performed it to an adoring crowd, soon you’ll have the professional shots and video from your show and you can’t wait to do it all again. But how do you even get started?
From getting your first gig to knowing what to charge to giving up your day job. Entering the REAL performance world can feel very overwhelming but it’s full of incredibly lovely humans and you are lucky enough to belong to an alumni of wise and wonderful cheekette graduates to help guide you.
We are delighted to announce that Cheek of it! Graduates Didi Derriere and Belle De Beauvoir will be joining us on Wednesday 20th April from 7-9pm via Zoom to answer all your questions and share their top tips with you.

Didi Derriere
Didi Derriere graduated from The Spotlight Course in 2013 and went on to gradate from the Sirens Advanced course in 2015
Fresh out of the Sirens course Didi won the Crown of Burlesque Idol with her Sirens graduation act.
Didi has continued growing ever since. She has been sashaying across stages in the UK and Europe, including Belgium, Switzerland and Estonia. She is resident in many of the capital’s top Burlesque spots and regularly makes Guest Appearances with the Gin House Burlesque. She has become a firm favourite of the cabaret community, both on and offstage, finding a home in the hearts of producers and burlesque connoisseurs alike.
Didi has appeared in and performed at a whole array fo notable shows and venues.

Last year Didi was cast as ‘the New Original Windmill girl’ in the all star lineup for the newly reopened Windmill Soho, you can even get a selfie in front of the giant billboard featuring Didi on windmill street
Belle De Beauvoir
Belle graduated from The Spotlight in 2018 and had had a whirlwind few years and despite a pandemic Belle has managed to make her very glittery mark on the UK and international Burlesque stage.
Inspired by the legendary courtesans of Montmartre, Belle de Beauvoir is a showgirl with heart. Taking the burlesque scene by storm with her own take on the legends of classic burlesque, Belle performs in top venues around Europe and the UK.
Belle combines her dance training with an ever-burning passion for the origins of vintage showgirl burlesque. dazzling costumes and award-winning routines.
This dedication to the art of the tease has led her to perform at Phoenix Arts Club, Best of Cabaret Awards and Cellar Door, as well as numerous exclusive events. Belle is a producer for Big Band Burlesque, House of Beauvoir productions and Crass Menagerie.
Didi and Belle will be sharing their journeys from graduation to pursuing a successful career in Burlesque and Cabaret, sharing their top tips on getting gigs and honing their craft plus answering your questions.
